We got tired of “successful” being a lie.

Truss is built by Islands Digital. It came straight out of the work, diagnosing why transactions on Nigerian rails report success and never settle, and watching operators carry the cost. We didn’t read about the problem. We chased it at 2 a.m.

Why we exist

The rails are fast. The truth about them is slow.

Money moves in seconds; settlement lands hours later, in batches. In that gap a transaction can look done and not be, and the customer finds out before the bank does.

The answer isn’t another box in the middle of the money. It’s a layer beside it that holds the truth of every transaction, reconciles it honestly, and refuses to let one silently die, without ever taking custody of a single naira.

Our one hard line

Non-custodial, always. Truss holds the record and issues instructions; the licensed institution moves the money. We will not cross onto the funds path without redoing the entire trust and regulatory analysis, in the open.

What we believe

Principles we build by.

Truth over optimism

A success message is a claim. Settlement is proof. We design for the gap between them.

Earn trust, don’t ask for it

Every number we show traces back to data the customer already owns. Verify, don’t believe.

Observe before you act

We prove value read-only first. Acting is optional, and always executed by the bank.

Uncertainty is a state

“We don’t know yet” is a real, modelled answer, never an unhandled gap that someone discovers later.

Minimise what we touch

The least data necessary, kept in your boundary where possible, tokenised when it must move.

Correctness is the gate

In a money path, a regression blocks release. We don’t fix forward when value is on the line.

Let’s talk.

Whether you’re an operator drowning in reconciliation or a team evaluating the space, we’d like to hear what’s breaking for you.
